Your journey with Avocet Legal

Stage 1 – Building your brief

We will arrange an initial telephone/virtual call so we can get to know one another. We will discuss your current situation, your short and long-term legal career objectives, salary expectations, locations, role preferences and find out more about what you want to achieve in terms of your life/work balance (this is important after all)

Stage 2 – Setting objectives

We will explore specific job vacancies and potential employers to better understand your requirements and agree on a timescale that suits you.

Stage 3 – Matching

We will assess your suitability, match your requirements to current or future roles and discuss your career pathway.

Stage 4 – Coordinating your process

We will submit your CV to our client(s) and arrange an interview.

Ensuring you are fully prepared, we will send you all the details you need for the interview. We can also offer interview preparation and guidance, if desired.

Stage 5 – Managing your process

We will request feedback from both you and the client. Arrange further interviews at the convenience of all parties and gain a written/verbal offer of employment.

Stage 6 – Dealing with offer and handover

We will handle the offer and collect references for the client (if required). We can negotiate offers and specific requirements, assist with contract review and ensure you get the opportunity to discuss your future needs.

We can provide guidance for handing in your notice and ensure that you leave your current role in the best way possible. We are also on hand to help you with counteroffers, if applicable.

Stage 7 – Aftercare

We will contact you during your 1st week, 1st month, 3rd month and 6th month, and will be available to you at any time in the future.

During months 3 and 6, we will ensure that the role meets your expectations and that the client is happy with your immersion into the team, role and company. We will ask you for a review to ensure that our support has met your expectation.
